Professional Info

I've been an educator in some form for nearly 20 years. Prior to beginning my career as a full-time tutor and academic coach, I served as a public-school teacher and administrator for more than 10 years. Since then, I have also served in both charter and private schools. My classroom experience includes teaching 8th grade Math, Algebra I, Geometry, Algebra II, Precalculus, Calculus, College Algebra, and Statistics. I also have experience teaching advanced-paced, dual enrollment, and gifted and talented courses. My secondary teaching area is English/Language Arts.

I am a proud December 2005, May 2006, and May 2013 graduate of McNeese State University where I earned two bachelor's degrees (Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and Bachelor of Science in Secondary Education – Math) and a master’s degree (Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction – Math). I also have a Master of Education in Administration from Lamar University.

I am a proud Honor Graduate and Valedictorian of Lake Charles-Boston High School (Class of 2001).

My hobbies include reading, writing, cooking, and spending time with my family.
